It's so sad to say this but Summer is almost over. It's nearly August and our wonderful carefree days are winding down. I love and look forward to Fall and Autumn Holidays but I am always sad to say goodbye to Our Lovely Summers. I really do love having you children close with me at home (except for the increase of quarreling. That one I could do without) and enjoying the long sunny days together. Wasn't this a great Summer? Each summer is wonderful but this one seemed especially great.
I loved our Summer Kickoff trip to Yellowstone, and our incredible trip to Riverside Ranch for your Dad's birthday in McCall, Idaho. These were each great and unforgettable trips. But I also enjoyed so many simple pleasures too with you kids like making strawberry jam, roasting S'mores, getting ice cream cones, swimming with cousins, going on evening walks, and our Backyard Camp Telles. These small moments may not seem that amazing or noteworthy but I really do love them and want to remember them. I only have one small complaint and that is that it all went by too fast but then again it always does.
